Quarter Tone Saxophone
Quarter Tone Tuner
This tuner will allow you to accurately tune your instrument using your device's microphone. This tuner is experimental, and still under development. If you experience any problems, feel free to email email@example.com.
To use, click the Start Tuner button below.
Using the Tuner:
This tuner will allow you to accurately tune your instrument using your device's microphone. To use the tuner, simply sound the pitch you wish to tune. The tuner will detect your pitch, as well as how many cents off you are from that pitch.
If you are in tune with the note you are playing, the middle box will become green. If not, the program will tell you that you are flat or sharp, and a red line will appear to the left or right, which will indicate how close you are to the right pitch.
If you play an instrument that is not in concert pitch, you can change the key of this tunerronome to match your instrument's key. To do so, click the Change Key button, then select the key of your instrument.
If the tuner is on while you are not playing any notes, it may rapidly move around. This is because it is trying to find the pitch of the ambient background noise. This will not be a problem while you are actually playing a note.
Using the Tone Producer (Drone):
The tone producer will allow you to sound any note, including quarter tone notes, in any octave. It will also adjust pitch based on the key you have the tuner set to.
You can use both the tuner and the tone producer at the same time. If you do so, it is recommended that you use headphones to prevent the tuner from picking up the tone of the tone generator, as it may interfere with your tone.
